On behalf of the scientific and organizing committees, I would like to warmly welcome you to the 11th International Palestinian Conference For Laboratory Medicine (IPCLM-11), which will be held virtually via the zoom platform (August 26th-28, 2021). This conference has been existing for the past 20 years in Palestine in the aims of sharing scientific updates and building collaborations with the broader community For Laboratory medicine professionals in its various sectors. Dr. Adeli is the Head of Clinical Biochemistry in the Department of Paediatric Laboratory Medicine, as well as a Senior Scientist in the Molecular Medicine Program of the Research Institute, at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. He is also a Full Professor and Vice Chair of Quality in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto. Currently, he serves as President of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC).

Prof. Dr Tomris Ozben is the President-Elect of European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (EFLM). She is member of the Board of the IFCC Foundation for Emerging Nations (FEN), Past-President of the Balkan Clinical Laboratory Federation (BCLF), immediate Past-IFCC Treasurer and Past-Chair of the IFCC Congress and Conference Committee. Over her tenure at Akdeniz University, Prof. Ozben has been the Director of Central Laboratory, Vice Rector and Chair of the Dept. of Clinical Biochemistry. She works in the identification of early markers for diagnosis and prognosis of diseases, validation of new tests, quality control, and laboratory management. She is the Editorial Board member of Scientific Journals. She has published over 180 papers, edited several books, and invited to speak at more than 200 international conferences.

His research interests are in tumor markers, personalized medicine, proteomics and neurodegeneration. He published close to 1,000 PubMed-Indexed papers.

Honorary membership of the Hungarian Society of Laboratory Diagnostics (2014). Honorary Diploma of “Societas Medicorum Bohemorum J.E Purkyne” (2015), Jendrassik L. Award of Societas Diagnostica Laboratorialis Clinicalis Hungarica (2016). He is author of more than 1000 publications: peer reviewed journals: 410 , other journals: 67 , book: 1, chapter's book: 45 and 610 abstracts at International and National Congress.
